Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Marven Systems collects and how it is handled when you visit the Site or play the Game.
1. The short version
Marven Systems is a browser game with no user accounts, no logins, and no server-side player profile. We don't ask for your name, email, or any personal information. Your campaign progress is stored locally in your own browser, not on our servers.
2. Local storage (campaign saves)
The Game uses your browser's localStorage to remember which
missions you've completed and your score. This information lives on
your device only. It is never transmitted to us. If you clear your
browser data, your save will be erased — that's a normal local-storage
behaviour, not something we control.
3. Third-party services
The Site loads resources from third-party providers to function:
- Leaflet / OpenStreetMap — provides map tiles for the in-game map. Tile requests carry your IP address to those providers, subject to their own privacy policies.
- Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used by the Site. Font requests carry your IP address to Google.
- Vercel Web Analytics — measures aggregate, anonymised page views to help us understand which pages are visited. It does not track you across sites and does not store cookies. See Vercel's privacy notice for details.
- Google Analytics (GA4) — collects aggregated usage data (page views, approximate location, device class, referrer) to help us understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics may set first-party cookies and processes data subject to Google's privacy policy.
4. Cookies
The Site itself does not set tracking cookies. Google Analytics
(described above) may set first-party cookies used to distinguish
visitors for the purpose of aggregate measurement; these are not used
by us to identify you personally. Browsers also store local preferences
(such as localStorage entries described above), which are not
cookies in the legal-disclosure sense.
5. Children
The Site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Your choices
Because we don't collect personal information, there's nothing on our side to delete. To remove the Game's local data from your machine, clear site data for this domain in your browser settings.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change.
8. Contact
If you have questions about this policy, reach out through the Site's published contact channel.
